Ma kichakeswari temple mentioned in the Mahabharata. It was destroyed completely to the ground by muslim invaders along with a number of other temples located together in the same temple complex. It lay in ruins for four hundred years and finally was rebuilt with pieces of the broken temples in the last century.

It is located in the city of kiching, which was the capital of Virata maharaja from the Mahabharata and who is mentioned in the Bhagavad Gita. The pandavas spent one year here in agyata vasa.

There are some archeological sites located in the nearby forests with brick foundations remaining from thousands of years ago, but they are hard to find and unmarked, deep in the forest.
