It has been 5 years since we started the foodrelief program in Andhra Pradesh (September 2009 to December 2014). In these five years a total of 435,000 plates of spiritual food have been distributed in Andhra Pradesh by devotees of the Bhaktivedanta Ashram, mostly in the Vizianagaram district.
Below are some pictures of a recent food distribution at the “Urban Deprived Residential Hostel” in Vizianagaram, as well as at a high school in the city. We had been requested by the staff of the hostel and the high school to distribute food for their students.

There is a small bull who has been coming to our temple for the last 2 years eating our garden plants. Every day I have been feeding him cow food (ground wheat powder) for the last 3 months. He spends the entire day at our temple and then goes home in the night.

We would like to share some photos and video clips from some of the recent food distribution programs conducted by our Ashram in Andhra Pradesh. This set of photos is from one of our school programs at Potnuru village, in Vishakapatnam district of Andhra Pradesh.
Potnuru is an ancient historical village in Padmanabham Mandalam. It is said that Sri Krishna Deva Raya, the emperor of the Vijayanagar kingdom, visited this place long ago and a memorial is there in the village to remind us of the royal visit.

Pandirivalasa village is a tribal (adivasi) hamlet located near the tourist hillstation of Anantagiri. This village is located very remotely, near the mountains and forests, away from any town or modern facilities. The nearest small town is 20 kilometers away. The surrounding area is a beautiful and natural place, with lots of mountains, forests, waterfalls and so on.
